Harriet wanted something a little different in the detailing of her silk gown, but keeping a simple overall look. She had several ideas in her head and we sketched a range of designs based on an amalgamation of these to come up with an original dress with cross over lace paneling on the waist.

Materials used

A beautifully soft sand washed silk was used for the main cloth from Bennett silks with the lace from a selection we had in house. Little cover buttons supplied by MacCulloch and Wallis completed the creation!

Additional info

We made Harriet a detachable net petticoat to add extra fullness for the church that could then be taken off later in the day for a slinkier evening look.

Amy was fantastic to work with helping me to design the most gorgeous wedding dress. Not only will I treasure the dress but also the time we spent coming up with ideas to make it. Amy has an incredible talent and knowledge of fabric and lace. Her experience enables her to guide a bride through the process without any of the fuss and stress associated with a wedding dress shop. An absolute pleasure to work with. Stunning results.
